The Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce is proud to recognize Pappardelle’s Pizzeria & Restaurant and the DiMartino family as the Bethpage Chamber of Commerce’s honoree for the upcoming 41st Annual Businessperson of the Year & Legislative Breakfast.
For nearly 60 years, the DiMartino family has been serving Bethpage, beginning with Roma Italian Bakery in 1968 and continuing with Pappardelle’s Pizzeria & Restaurant in 1986.
Today, brothers Pasquale and Vincent DiMartino, their sisters Antonietta and Maria, and brother-in-law David proudly carry on the family tradition. Built on Italian roots, hard work & genuine hospitality, Pappardelle’s has become a beloved gathering place for generations of local families.
The family’s legacy continues with the next generation actively working alongside their parents, preserving the recipes, values & dedication that have made the business a community favorite.
Pappardelle’s was voted Newsday’s No. 1 Italian Pizzeria & Restaurant on Long Island — recognition made possible by its hardworking employees, loyal customers & the Bethpage community.
For the DiMartino family, this honor represents decades of tradition, sacrifice & commitment to the community they proudly call home. Their story is a wonderful example of how family-owned businesses help shape the character of a community and create connections that last for generations.

Great food great place I go every week got to get there early to get consistent slices choices. Sometime packed so you get a little rushed but to be expected because they don’t want anyone to wait and want people in and out. I’ll stay going every week.

The long-LI drive was about pasta in bread bowl. It scored well on novelty of concept and execution. For once, a social media lead did not disappoint. We went for Ravioli Parmesan in bread bowl. While the ravioli was regulation stuff, the bread bowl delicately spiced with herbs (crispy soft to start with), fit straight into the long-craved need for a functional foundation for pasta sauce. Bread soaked the flavor & fluid; no marinara lost! This idea needs to percolate to other eateries - if they can conjure it so well. Side of crispy, pre-salted, fries were a surprise hit. With an uplifting vibe, backed by cherry staff, this place has three distinct dining areas; catering to differing group sizes. The 'almost candlelight' idea was cute (pic). We were well taken care of by Gianna & Alex. Attentive, prompt but not intrusive. For example, they didn't let the disappointment, of not having cloth napkins come in the way of experience, by anticipating and fortifying napkin supplies. The long drive was well worth it. PostScript: Boxed remnants of pasta and bread bowl thrived through reheating, next day.
